Our approach

This statement covers the Damp or Leak website, its guides and symptom checker. Our accessibility target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. A full accessibility audit has not been completed, so we do not claim that the site meets every requirement.

Help using the site

  • Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between links and controls. A visible outline shows which control has focus.
  • Use the “Skip to content” link at the start of each page to move past the navigation.
  • Use your browser’s zoom controls to enlarge text. The layout adapts to narrower screens.
  • Use the arrow keys to move between answers in the checker, then activate “Continue” to proceed.
  • Expand frequently asked questions using Enter or Space when a question has focus.

The site uses headings, labelled form controls and text descriptions for meaningful images. It also respects your device’s reduced-motion preference.

Current limitations and alternatives

The interactive checker requires JavaScript. If it is unavailable or you have difficulty completing the questions, you can read the condensation guide, rain and building damp guide and hidden leak guide without using the checker.

Progress is saved in the current browser tab when browser storage is available. Private browsing, blocked storage or closing the tab may prevent progress from being retained.

Screen-reader and speech-recognition compatibility have not yet been fully tested. External websites linked from our guides have their own accessibility arrangements.

Reporting a problem or requesting another format

To report a barrier or request information in another format, email admin@adiproleak.com with “Damp or Leak accessibility” in the subject, or call 0333 567 2642. When reporting a problem, it helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do, what went wrong and any browser or assistive technology you were using. Please do not include sensitive personal information.

Review status

Development checks have included keyboard controls, visible focus, responsive layouts and automated contrast checks. These checks do not replace a full audit or testing with people who use assistive technology.

Outstanding work before launch includes a fuller accessibility review, testing with assistive technology. This statement will be updated to reflect the findings and any known barriers.
